Anti-bribery Regulations
The Compliance Workshop on Anti-bribery Regulations is conducted twice annually (March and September) by means of 1.5-hour virtual session, led by speaker from The Independent Commission Against Corruption. Its purpose is to ensure University staff - classified as public servants under the Prevention of Bribery Ordinance - understand relevant legal sections, recognize corruption risks (such as gifts and conflicts of interest), and learn prevention and reporting procedures.
Employee Assistance Programme
The Employee Assistance Programme provides services, including professional 24/7 counselling and work-life coaching. It also offers development workshops twice annually by means of 75-minute virtual session, led by a consultant from Four Dimensions Consulting Limited. It covers topics such as mental health awareness, effective communication, and self-care to support staff’s personal and workplace effectiveness.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
The workshop “Manage Unconscious Bias for Professional Success” is part of the HKU-specific SkillUP@Work Programme. It aims to help participants understand unconscious bias, its impact on campus dynamics, and practical strategies to act as allies and address bias in the workplace. Various workshops focused on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion will continue to be held regularly.
New Staff Induction
This quarterly orientation for newly-joined University staff provides essential information on University policies, benefits, and support services, covering topics such as Green Initiatives, Equal Opportunity, Staff Development Opportunities, Employee Assistance Programme, and Data Protection. It is conducted face-to-face for 2 hours and 15 minutes.

Preventing Sexual Harassment on Campus
This online training module is designed to enhance staff's understanding of sexual harassment and provide practical guidance on how to respond to and intervene in such situations. It consists of three engaging sections, featuring a series of animated videos that facilitate interactive learning and make the experience both informative and enjoyable.
Sex Discrimination Ordinance and the Family Status Discrimination Ordinance
This workshop will be conducted virtually. Its purpose is to equip HR professionals and colleagues with supervisory roles and recruitment duties with a comprehensive understanding of managing workplace issues in accordance with the two anti-discrimination ordinances.

Personal Data Protection
This online training is designed to strengthen awareness of data protection principles. All full-time staff are required to complete the online Mandatory Data Protection Training on an annual basis. The mandatory data protection training is modified with questions based on scenarios and case studies from the previous year. Participation and completion metrics are recorded.

Donations handling: Best practices and corruption prevention
This seminar is conducted by speaker from The Independent Commission Against Corruption. It covers topics including integrity management, handling of donations, related issues, and corruption prevention resources and services. The seminar consists of two sessions: an English session and a Cantonese session. The workshop is conducted virtually.
