Performance Management Training Programme 201606 May, 2016
 

Dear Colleagues,

Human Resource Section has arranged a training programme on performance management for reviewees and reviewers of PRSD. The training programme comprises a series of workshops covering 3 major areas, namely an overview to performance management, goal setting for performance management, and coaching.

The programme will be conducted by Ms. Elly Zee, a seasoned consultant with rich hands-on experience in performance management and coaching. Many participants who have attended Ms. Zee’s workshops found them inspiring and the techniques covered are very useful in their workplace. Details of the workshops are as follows:

Art of Goal / Objective Setting (Course Code: PRSD07)

This workshop targets at reviewers who have a role in appraising staff performance. Ms. Elly Zee will take participants through common fallacies associated with goal setting, the goal setting skill process which goes beyond SMART (setting goals that are specific, measurable, attainable, etc.) and how to engage staff in goal setting discussion to foster understanding and buy-in.

Performance Tracking & Appraisal (Course Code: PRSD08)

This workshop will cover techniques in preparing and conducting a meaningful year-end review, the flow of a discussion process and how to convey tough messages for a constructive coaching dialogue, and the formation of staff development plan.

This workshop targets at reviewers who have a role in appraising staff performance. Ms. Elly Zee will focus on the day-to-day feedback skills that supervisors need when they guide and monitor the performance of staff. The workshop will engage participants in discussion of successful coaching, real life coaching scenarios, and reflection on coaching experiences.
