Paternity Leave 侍產假期01 Mar, 2015
 

To: All staff

With the Employment (Amendment) Ordinance 2014 coming into effect, the Council, at its meeting held on February 24, 2015, approved the revised Regulations for the Grant of Paternity Leave (document 181/215, https://uis.hku.hk/uis/shbpro/pdf/patleave.pdf) to bring the provisions more in line with the statutory requirements. The revised Regulations will take immediate effect, replacing the previous Regulations (document 262/809).

A male appointee is eligible for paternity leave if he
(a) is the father of a new-born child or a father-to-be;
(b) has been employed under a continuous contract (defined as employment for a minimum of 4 consecutive weeks with not less than 18 hours worked in each week); and
(c) has applied for paternity leave in advance.

侍產假期

致全體大學僱員:

《2014年僱傭(修訂)條例》現已生效,校務委員會在2015年2月24日的會議上通過修訂侍產假期審批規則 (文件 181/215,
https://uis.hku.hk/uis/staffman/ctos2/lvpat.pdf),以符合法例要求。經修訂的侍產假期審批規則即時生效,取代現有的規則 (文件262/809)。

男性僱員如符合以下條件,便可享有侍產假期:
(甲) 為初生嬰兒的父親或有嬰兒即將出生;
(乙) 按連續性合約受僱(定義為連續受僱4星期或以上,而每星期最少工作18小時);及
(丙) 已預先提出申請。
