To: All Staff Members

The Legislative Council has passed the amendment of the minimum level of relevant income for Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) contributions. The minimum level of relevant income will be amended from the original level of $6,500 to $7,100 effective from November 1, 2013. Appointees with a monthly income of less than $7,100 are not required to make the employee's part of MPF contribution from the effective date. There is no change on the employer's part of contribution, and the University will continue to make the 5% MPF contribution.
